2. Match the anilox roller

An anilox with too much cell volume (too coarse for the job) lays down excess ink that then throws off. Select a cell count appropriate to the coverage — finer for lighter coverage, coarser for heavy solids — and keep the anilox clean so it meters the intended volume.

3. Set doctor-blade pressure correctly
